Doing What I Love

After three very busy days of coaching others, I took a break on a rainy afternoon to treat myself to one of my favorites, white iced tea. Reflecting on my conversations with my clients this week, I learned more than ever to meet them where they are. We are all in different places experiencing each day from a different vantage point. We each have our unique struggles. One of my clients simply wanted validation that it is ok to stop working at 5 pm each day from her now “at home” office. She struggles as she works until late into the evening hours, unable to walk away from her work computer that now sits prominently in her living room reminding her of work that is undone. Another client wanted guidance as to how to start her morning without the 2+ tablespoons of sugar in her black, hot coffee. Yet another client, celebrating her recent engagement, was seeking hope and guidance that she can loose weight before her wedding day, almost a year from now. Another, filled with anxiety felt gratitude as I taught her breathing techniques to calm her during her new-found stressors in life. I met each one with compassion, a listening ear without judgement and gentle advice. Each one hung up the phone feeling a little better about life, I felt thankful for the time I spent with each of them, being trusted by them. Sometimes all we need is a supportive Health and Lifestyle Coach to propel us.....it’s what I do, it’s what I love.
